About the job

The Finance Data Analyst team participates in the design and deployment of standardized processes and rules in the Core Model. The scope covers all Sanofi countries & GBUs/Global Functions worldwide.

Ultimately, this role involves interacting with many teams (FBP, Regional & Global Finance Operations, Finance Transformation Engine, CFOs, GBUs, Global Business Process Owners) to ensure strong alignment and full accordance between the different stakeholders on the target operating process.

CORE MODEL DESIGN & DATA GOVERNANCE

  • Participate in definition and implementation of the strategy roadmap in the controlling core model
  • Establish close relationship and coordinate with relevant teams
  • Guide the execution of process improvement initiatives
  • Collaborate on the design and the deployment of standardized processes and rules globally
  • Participate in the definition of the solutions, capturing and documenting requirements
  • Participate to formalize and communicate related SOPs where needed

PROCESS ENHANCEMENTS

  • Identify emerging needs & participate in continuous improvement process, propose innovative and efficient solutions
  • Strive for standardization
  • Review/ Confirm necessary systems changes to execute efficient data integrity checks
  • Develop Business Cases to prioritize programs / projects and assure appropriate decisions
  • Close interface with Digital regarding the implementation of the changes
  • Ensure that a risk management approach is defined and maintained up-to-date throughout the enhancement stages; define and deploy the corresponding mitigation plan, when applicable
  • Act proactively as a change agent promoting the benefits of the proposed change

DATA QUALITY

  • Develop data procedures and policies, and work closely with various departments to collect, prepare, organize, protect, and analyze data assets while ensuring that the company meets industry best practices
  • Define and implement the systems checks and data controls to be performed
  • Deliver quality controls and best practices enablement
  • Improve data quality and implement methods to measure and report on data quality
  • Define appropriate resolution processes, when discrepancies are found following checks
  • Participate in the definition of follow-up action plans to improve data accuracy

About you

Experience:

  • Finance or equivalent diploma/certificate required
  • Significant experience in controlling
  • Proven experience in an Analytic COE type organization
  • Experience translating business needs into process and implementation requirements at Finance system project implementation environment

Soft skills:

  • Ability to work in matrix environments (scope / interactions / numerous stakeholders)
  • Analytical, process-oriented with a keen interest to drive continuous improvements
  • A can-do attitude
  • Strong ability to train and teach/coach others
  • Ability to work in a multi-country team setup
  • Accountability and reliability

Technical skills:

  • Excellent knowledge of SAP, TM1 and other systems functional scope
  • Very good knowledge of controlling and reporting processes (end to end view)
  • Deep understanding of controls, master data and systems flows

Education:

Degree in Finance or similar; or equivalent experience

Languages:

Fluent English
