Job Description

As a Manager Data Engineering on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), you will lead a team of GCP experts and engineers in developing and delivering effective cloud solutions. This role demands a profound understanding of GCP services, architectures, and best practices. You will strategize with clients to meet their business objectives using GCP, ensuring the design, implementation, and management of scalable and reliable cloud solutions.

• Steer a team of data engineering professionals to create innovative cloud solutions.
• Engage directly with clients to tailor GCP architecture to their business needs.
• Formulate and apply cloud strategies and standards for optimal and efficient use of GCP.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship in GCP to upscale the team’s expertise.
• Stay ahead with the latest GCP technologies and trends to enhance client solutions.
• Work alongside sales and business development to drive new GCP-related business opportunities.

• Experience with complex migrations to GCP from legacy systems.
• Ability to manage tight project schedules and resources effectively.
• Skills in building real-time data ingestion and processing frameworks on GCP.
• Knowledge of Data-governance and Multi-cloud & hybrid cloud solutions.
• Expertise in AI, ML, and emerging GEN-AI use cases.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in GCP’s Data Storage and Processing services like Big Query, Dataflow, and more.
• Proficient in programming with languages such as JavaScript, Python, and Apache Spark.
• Capability in advanced Big Query SQL and data modeling.
• Experience in orchestrating end-to-end data pipelines using tools like Cloud Composer.

Pay Range: $117,000 - $175,000
