Our Billing and Credit function, a key component of the Group Finance and Corporate Division, plays a pivotal role in the proficient management of Billing and Credit across Optus. This encompasses credit and fraud risk assessment, collections and recoveries, and efficient billing and payments systems.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

You will:

• Support the development, build-out, deployment and adoption of data science projects within our Fraud, Credit, and Collections teams.
• Deliver analytical assets using sophisticated techniques and integrate these into complete end-to-end solutions.
• Collaborate with business units to clearly define problems, articulate strategies, assumptions, and outline efficient solution adoption processes.
• Demonstrate a pronounced curiosity, employing diverse approaches and fresh perspectives to problem-solving.

Who We're Looking For

Our ideal candidate will have:

• A degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or Analytics.
• Extensive experience in a Finance/Data Science role, particularly skilled in data modeling and business case evaluations.
• Proven background in Fraud, Credit, or Collections disciplines.
• Strong experience in engaging with senior stakeholders to address business challenges and convey strategic recommendations.
