Internship Opportunity: Machine Learning Engineer at NN Group

Are you an enthusiastic intern looking to make a real impact? Join our team and contribute to our cutting-edge Azure Data Science Platform! Collaborate closely with our data scientists and engineers to accelerate ideation to production. Under the mentorship of our experienced engineers, you will develop a meaningful project and see your work put into production.

What You Will Do

As a Machine Learning Engineer intern, you will focus on the deployment and operations of ML models, rather than their development. Your contributions may include:

• CICD: Work on an automated test suite for ML apps to ensure security.
• Observability: Enhance the logging and monitoring capabilities of our platform, applications, and ML models.
• Integration: Assist in integrating our platform with the new central ML ship and run platform.
• API Development: Design and implement asynchronous message queue APIs for slow models.
• Automation: Improve our automated deployment scripts, including API management and incident/patch management systems.

This internship will last 3-6 months, with a minimum of 24 hours per week.

Who You Are

We are looking for driven individuals who meet the following criteria:

• An enthusiastic mindset with a willingness to learn and a can-do attitude.
• Strong communication skills in either Dutch or English.
• Pursuing a degree in IT, software engineering, computer science, or a related field. We also consider candidates with equivalent IT and programming skills.
• HBO+ working capacity, preferably in the final year of a bachelor's or master's program.
• Programming experience in at least one language.

Join our Data & AI team, part of the IT services department. Work alongside data scientists, ML (ops) engineers, data visualization experts, and data management professionals. Our team delivers a variety of data products for NN Life & Pensions, supporting services from operational to strategic levels.
