About Our Design Team
We’re a vibrant team of approximately 70 Product Designers, User Researchers, and Brand Designers, working across the entire Monzo customer experience.

🔑 Key Responsibilities
- Reporting directly to the VP of Design, Vuokko Aro, and working closely with the wider executive team.
- Scaling our design team, developing talent, and ensuring high design quality and consistency.
- Driving business impact through a stellar core product experience and organic growth.
- Managing a small team of senior product designers, collaborating with user researchers and brand designers.

- A deep commitment to design’s commercial impact and customer needs, supported by robust, data-driven decision-making.
- Strong collaboration skills with senior product leadership and the executive team to shape Monzo's product vision.
- Competence in scaling our Design System to support an expanding product suite across various markets.
- Mastery of design craft, understanding niche design impacts, and providing clear direction at both strategic and pixel levels.
- Ability to lead and inspire a 5-10 person team, with opportunities to influence other product areas like our European expansion or Wealth teams.
