We are currently searching for an energetic Data Scientist Intern to become part of our crew. The chosen individual will be tasked with extracting both structured and unstructured data from various sources in a programmatic way and compiling detailed analytics reports to tackle business issues. It's crucial to collaborate; the intern will work side by side with business stakeholders, engineers, and product managers. Applicants must have experience in database querying, be conversant with scripting languages like Python or R, and have the capacity to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical users. Responsibilities: - Fulfill ad-hoc data requests for business stakeholders. - Write SQL queries to extract data based on user needs. - Construct effective data visualizations to concisely present insights from data. - Design and build dashboards to track critical business metrics. - Meet with users to clarify unclear business issues and suggest solid data solutions. Requirements: - A Bachelor’s or Master's degree in engineering or a quantitative field. - Familiarity with extracting data from databases using SQL queries. - Ability to skillfully present data insights through effective data visualizations. - Capability to simplify and clearly explain complex concepts to non-technical people. - Strong capability to solve problems. - Resilience in the face of uncertainties and new issues. - Ability to maintain clear thinking under pressure. - A growth-oriented mentality.
