Internship for Data Scientist

We are currently seeking a Intern Data scientist to join our Product team. The perfect candidate should start in January 2024 and be with us for 4 to 6 months!

Izix is a smart parking company focused on developing products and services that assist our real estate and corporate clients in digitizing how they manage their parking spaces. This in turn, enables them to use their parking facilities as a tool for improved mobility in and around their buildings!

At Izix, you will work with a young, motivated team and provide support to major clients from various industries across Western Europe.

What will your responsibilities be?

As an intern data scientist, you will be part of the Product Team. The main objective of this team is to provide our customers insights into how their car parks are functioning. Your task will be to assist us in creating our analytics data warehouse that will underpin the insights we share with our customers!

You’ll collaborate closely with our Head of Product. Our aim is to develop our own analytical metrics to ensure and enhance our solution. To do well in this role, it would be wonderful if you are pursuing a Data Science degree and have knowledge of AWS.

Your tasks as a data scientist intern will include:

• Designing and implementing pipelines to populate our Redshift warehouse
• Writing queries to calculate parking KPIs
• Creating models to predict car park occupancy at varying time periods

Technical

• Awareness of AWS Redshift, Sagemaker, and associated technologies
• Understanding of ETL processes (Bonus: Ability to implement ETL with AWS Glue)
• Awareness of data visualization technologies
• Understanding of Python and scikit-learn
• Understanding of SQL
