Internship Program: Backend Machine Learning

We are in search of a Machine Learning Backend Intern for our technical team. This new recruit will play a key role in developing data science solutions from conception to maturity as we continue our efforts to improve the retail world and make it more sustainable. At Nextail, our mission is to enable retailers to enhance their customer experiences while making a fewer impact on the world's resources. Our cloud-based platform utilizes artificial intelligence, prescriptive analytics, and optimization to make agile merchandising decisions. To date, we've secured over $12M in funding from leading venture capital investors and have established working relationships with global retailers such as Versace, River Island, and Pepe Jeans. The prime objective of our technical and data science teams is to enhance the impact of our product on the business. We utilize Data Science Techniques, AI, ML, Optimization, Simulation, and Visualization as valuable tools in problem-solving. We collaborate with Product Managers, Developers, Data Scientists, ML Engineers, Data Engineers, and Business Experts to provide comprehensive solutions. It's important to note that our job isn’t considered done when the model and end-to-end solutions are in production. We continue our efforts even after change management, operational details, and model monitoring. As our Machine Learning Backend Intern, you will participate in the development, deployment, and maintenance of multiple Machine Learning models. You will assist in instrumenting various models to collect metrics and usage statistics. This includes implementing mathematical algorithms or complex computations, influencing the entire model production flow, endorsing good technical practices among the team, and working closely with the Data Science team to ensure scalability.
