Our Billing and Funding team is seeking passionate individuals to fill the role of Java Software Engineer Specialist with expertise in Java and Big Data.

About the Role

Our team has developed a state-of-the-art pricing and billing engine using cutting-edge big-data technology. As we prepare to transition to the cloud, making our software cloud-native, we need a skilled Java Software Engineer Specialist to help implement and expand our cloud infrastructure. This encompasses compute, networking, storage, observability, reliability, and security.

Key Responsibilities

In your role, you will:

• Build and maintain infrastructure as code and tooling within the Cloud.
• Develop cloud environments and data strategies that integrate with on-premise systems, manage data replication, and set up CI/CD for accelerated delivery.
• Enhance our cloud offerings to be self-service, empowering our engineering community to own their infrastructure and software and promote reuse.
• Ensure compliance with internal security policies and regulations.
• Collaborate closely with software engineers to guide them on their cloud journey.

What You Bring

Your experience and knowledge in the following areas will be key to your success:

• Experience in building enterprise-grade applications on AWS.
• Proficient in Functional programming using Java and understanding data structures.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS services like IAM, EMR Serverless, Fargate, S3, and CloudWatch.
• Experience in building applications with embedded CI/CD.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD practices and principles, including Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and/or CloudFormation.
• Excellent communication skills and a strong desire to share knowledge.

Additional Qualifications (Nice to Have)

Experience with Spark, VCA, EC2 ELB, Auto-Scaling, Route53, Lambda, ECS, CloudFormation, and DynamoDB will be advantageous.
