About the Role

Within Aviva lies our extraordinary Customer Science Team, dedicated to putting the customer first with data science driving our mission at scale. Our AI/ML data scientists create and deliver exceptional customer-first data products by leveraging new and existing data sources and advanced techniques. In this role, you'll develop production-ready models using our MLOps framework, contribute to team knowledge, foster collaboration, and innovate solutions to complex problems.

Skills and Experience

We are looking for candidates who meet the following criteria:

• Educated to degree level in a math- or programming-focused subject (e.g., Computer Science, Applied Science) or possess equivalent knowledge and experience. A post-graduate qualification is a plus but not essential.
• Experience and knowledge in machine learning techniques and approaches, including supervised, unsupervised, and reinforcement learning, with the ability to gauge model accuracy.
• Proficiency in Python programming.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both specialist and non-specialist audiences.
• Bonus experience: Git-based code version control, building data pipelines with Spark, or productionizing ML models.
