Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and business partners to identify algorithmic problems and recommend solutions.
• Develop algorithms iteratively with the appropriate level of complexity for both immediate and future business needs.
• Define success criteria for models, measure impact, and drive continuous improvements through clear communication of findings.
• Work with Software Engineers to implement scalable algorithms in production.
• Prioritize projects and define requirements in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Analyze data from hardware systems and create insightful visualizations to share findings.
• Contribute to internal libraries to assist other teams with data science needs including visualization, prediction, optimization, and inference.

Requirements & Experience

• Advanced proficiency with Python and libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, SciPy, and Diplomatist.
• Strong understanding of data modeling and statistical analysis.
• Experience applying optimization and predictive modeling techniques to real-world problems.
• Ability to translate general questions or problems into clearly defined algorithmic solutions.
• Clear communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Capability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Nice to Have

• 1+ year of experience with Data Bricks or PySpark.
• 1+ year of experience with productionizing data models.
