Your New Role

As a Lead Data Scientist at Launch Potato, you will craft deep personalization models and develop complex optimization algorithms that enhance customer interaction with our new products and services. You’ll play a crucial role in the expansion of our data science team, fostering the growth of a talented group of data scientists and machine learning engineers dedicated to elevating customer engagement and improving the quality of leads delivered to our partners.

This role is hands-on and detail-oriented, involving intensive involvement with data and code in implementing solutions. You will design, oversee, and integrate cutting-edge machine learning solutions across our product suite and strategically plan ML initiatives alongside our Product, Engineering, and Business Intelligence teams to maximize impact.

What Success Looks Like

• Creating innovative ML solutions to solve diverse business challenges.
• Designing and improving Multi-Armed Bandit solutions, utilizing Large Language Models for content personalization, and developing recommendation systems.
• Collaborating across teams to enhance model infrastructure and implementation processes.
• Providing leadership and mentorship within the Data Science team, promoting problem-solving, effective testing methodologies, and code review processes.
• Focusing on career development and advancing the skills of junior team members.

Required Skills & Experience

• Over 4 years of experience in Data Science & Machine Learning, with at least 2 years in the Marketing/Advertising industry.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, and familiar with tools like git, Kubernetes, Docker, etc.
• Experience in managing ML solutions within cloud platforms like AWS or GCP and in the ML model development lifecycle.
• Strong skills in data visualization tools, preferably Looker, and experience managing and directing a team of data science professionals.
• Exceptional communication and leadership skills to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
