About the Role

We're searching for a visionary Lead Data Scientist to spearhead the Data Science functions within our Devices Software Building Block team. This key role involves collaborating with engineering, product, sales, leadership, and marketing teams to derive meaningful insights from vast data sets collected from our IoT devices. These insights are crucial for enhancing the management of our clients' IoT device fleets and refining our products and services to meet customer needs more effectively.

Key Responsibilities

As the Lead Data Scientist, you will:

• Utilize the Data Science Life Cycle to develop innovative algorithms, methods, and systems for transforming large volumes of unstructured data into actionable insights.
• Evaluate the accuracy and effectiveness of data sources and analytical algorithms.
• Develop tools for monitoring model performance and data accuracy.
• Lead data-driven projects from concept to implementation by working closely with product and service teams to comprehend and address specific user needs.
• Enhance the skills of junior team members through mentorship and direct engagement in data science projects.
• Collaborate with data engineering to design and refine data processing pipelines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field.
• At least 6 years of experience in data science, including handling large data sets and building statistical models.
• Proficiency in statistical programming languages like Python and SQL.
• Hands-on experience with Machine Learning, including model training and validation.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
• Knowledge of Apache Spark and basic Azure cloud services is advantageous.
