This role sits at the heart of Zifo's Innovation and Emerging Services organization, dedicated to accelerating life-saving discoveries in drug development, therapies, and vaccines through cutting-edge data science.

About the Role:

As a pivotal member of our newly expanding DSS team, you will be at the forefront of supporting pharmaceutical and biotech companies worldwide. Your work will involve:

• Extracting actionable insights from complex life science data.
• Developing sophisticated data processing, data mining solutions, and AI/ML models.
• Enhancing the visualization of intricate life science datasets.
• Collaborating with global teams of researchers, scientists, and tech experts to lead Digital Transformation and AI/ML initiatives.
• Contributing as a thought leader, supporting our broader vision and strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Gathering and documenting business requirements.
• Developing and consulting on technical solutions to meet project demands.
• Coordinating with clients and technology partners on project execution.
• Engaging with the data science community through conferences and other professional gatherings.
• Authoring influential whitepapers and articles.
• Driving growth in Zifo's US data science services sector.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Advanced degree (MS or PhD) in a Life Science field.
• At least 3 years post-PhD or 5 years post-MS experience, particularly in the life sciences or biopharma domain.
• Experience with R&D datasets like genomics and proteomics.
• Proficiency in integrating diverse datasets (omics, text, images).
• Knowledge of Generative AI applications in life sciences.

Required Skills:

• Advanced programming in Python, Spark, R.
• Deep expertise in AI/ML Data Science libraries (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow).
• Experience with major cloud computing platforms (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud).
• Familiarity with various database systems (relational, NoSQL, graph).

Preferable Attributes:

• Strong quantitative skills and statistical acumen.
• Experience in project and stakeholder management.
• Adept at SDLC methodology and Agile frameworks.
• Business/system analysis skills.
