About the Role: Gartner, a global leader in research and advisory, is seeking a Lead Data Scientist for our Client Experience Digital Platform team. What You Will Do:

As a Lead Data Scientist, you will:

  • Build state-of-the-art search and recommendation systems.
  • Train and deploy transformer-based language models to enhance information retrieval.
  • Utilize generative AI for both internal and client-facing applications.
  • Productionize deep learning models using scalable inferencing solutions.
  • Keep abreast of rapidly evolving AI/ML technologies and models.
  • Promote and implement new technologies, driving their adoption across projects.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering and product teams to launch and iterate on MVPs.
  • Independently lead data science projects that deliver measurable business impacts.

What You Will Need:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • An advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in a quantitative field such as math, computer science, or engineering.
  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience in building search engines, recommendation systems, or other relevant AI/ML applications in production environments.
  • Expertise in Python and major machine learning frameworks like scikit-learn, PyTorch, and Hugging Face.
  • Experience with large language models (LLMs) and vector-based search tools like SOLR or Elastic.
  • Familiarity with AWS, Azure ML, or other cloud computing services.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to translate business needs into data science solutions and outcomes.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of engaging both technical and business stakeholders.

Salary and Benefits:

The base salary range for this position is $120,000 to $164,250, contingent on experience and location, with potential bonuses based on company and individual performance. Additional benefits include a 401k match, employee stock purchase at a discount, and more.
