Lead Data Scientist Opportunity at Cybersecurity AI Team

Cybersecurity is seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Data Scientist to join our innovative Cybersecurity Artificial Intelligence team. This pivotal role leverages machine learning, data engineering, automation, and Data Science principles to tackle enterprise-level challenges and propel our mission forward.

Role Overview

The Lead Data Scientist is a key player on our team, charged with the design, development, deployment, and automation of AI projects. The successful candidate will collaborate with key stakeholders to accelerate the use of traditional and generative AI in cybersecurity.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Structure business problems and develop viable, data-driven hypotheses with business partners.
  • Skillfully enumerate business challenges, quantify their impact, size relevant data, and document sources.
  • Oversee end-to-end development of AI projects from requirement gathering to production deployment.
  • Develop actionable intelligence from disparate data sources using advanced analytics tools and techniques.
  • Evaluate and compare data science models with diverse metrics for informed decision-making.
  • Perform deep data analysis including machine learning, generative AI, RAG frameworks, NLP, and more.
  • Identify opportunities for innovation, process improvements, and automation.
  • Proactively take initiative and work independently.
  • Extract and aggregate data from various sources.
  • Communicate complex topics and visualize data effectively for management presentations.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree (preferred).
  • 5+ years in a Data Science or Data Engineering role.
  • 3+ years of Python development experience.
  • Professional experience with a cloud provider (AWS, GCP, Azure).

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years of Python and SQL development experience.
  • Professional experience in building Generative AI solutions for business applications.
  • 5+ years presenting results to business partners and leadership.
  • 3+ years experience with cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure).
  • 2+ years in Cybersecurity and experience with Splunk SPL.
  • Experience in modern data engineering utilizing APIs.

Competitive Compensation

Base Pay Range: $112,000/yr. - $160,400/yr. Actual base salary may vary based on factors including relevant experience, time in role, and geographic location. The compensation package may also include incentives based on performance.
