About This Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Lead Developer / Expert Data Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on data engineering and development expertise, along with a comprehensive understanding of software development, architecture, and continuous improvement.

As the Lead Developer, you will engage with a variety of stakeholders. The right individual will be outgoing, self-motivated, and able to foster a positive team environment. You are a passionate developer committed to delivering the best solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Consolidate, harmonize, source, store, and distribute Payments Data to other solutions.
• Support integrations for varied End2End payment flows within Nordea's target payment architecture.
• Work as an Expert Java Developer (with Kafka) in the Payments Data Domain.
• Serve as the technical lead for developers/data engineers in a Scrum team.
• Contribute to solution architecture, design, and application maintainability.
• Design, build, and maintain near real-time data pipelines.
• Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to clarify requirements and detailed reporting needs.
• Support the transition of existing solutions to a modern tech stack.
• Collaborate with other engineers and document your designs and solutions.

The role is based in Copenhagen / Taastrup.

Your Experience and Background

• Expert in SQL (Oracle, MSSQL, or similar RDBMS).
• Expert in Java/JavaScript (Spring framework, Spring Boot, Angular).
• Expert in developing Kafka producer and consumer code using Java 8 API.
• Experience with one or more cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google).
• Hands-on knowledge of practices like Domain-driven design, Event-sourcing architecture patterns, microservices architecture, and clean code.
• Proficiency in CI/CD, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, REST, Maven, JUnit, and building distributed, highly available, and high throughput applications.
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematical Modeling, or similar.
• Strong understanding of data modeling principles and data classification, with a focus on implementation details.
