About the Role

As a Lead ML Engineer at Allianz Services within Allianz Technology, you will be at the forefront of our Data Analytics and AI-driven transformations. You will be responsible for spearheading the development and deployment of machine learning applications, optimizing workflows for maximum efficiency and quality, and ensuring robust operations and effective monitoring.

• Guide the development and deployment of Machine-Learning applications from concept to production, focusing keenly on operations and monitoring.
• Identify and address bottlenecks in the ML workflow by implementing improvements that enhance quality and speed.
• Collaborate seamlessly with product team members to foster adoption and prevent siloed behaviors.
• Adhere to leading industry processes such as Agile, DevOps, and more, while maintaining hands-on involvement in software engineering tasks.
• Act as a mentor and provide training to junior colleagues, enhancing team expertise and performance.

Skills and Qualifications

We are seeking candidates who have:

• A Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related quantitative or engineering field.
• Fluency in English, with additional language skills beneficial.
• At least 5 years of hands-on experience in end-to-end ML projects.
• Expertise in technical documentation, and familiarity with tools and environments such as Grafana, Prometheus, and Kubernetes.
• A strong grasp of cloud technologies including AWS and Azure, and a proven ability to manage diverse technical stakeholders.
