Job Responsibilities

As a Lead Software Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

• Developing creative software solutions through design, development, and technical troubleshooting while challenging conventional approaches.
• Writing and reviewing secure, high-quality production code and addressing technical issues impacting system operations and stability.
• Leading evaluations with vendors and internal teams to ensure the integration of robust architectural solutions.
• Championing new technologies and methodologies across software engineering communities to enhance project deliverables and processes.
• Enhancing team culture by actively promoting values of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

The ideal candidate should have:

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in roles such as Software Engineer, Application Developer, or Data Engineer, with formal training or certifications in software engineering.
• Advanced expertise in programming languages and comprehensive knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle.
• Significant experience with cloud environments, particularly AWS, and real-time data processing using tools like Kafka, Flink, and Spark Streaming.
• A deep understanding of agile methodologies including CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

Additional expertise that would be highly regarded includes:

• In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and related IT systems.
• Advanced skills in AWS technologies such as Dynamo, Glue, S3, EMR, EKS.
• Experience with cloud-native applications and DevOps practices.
• Exposure to Databricks and other big data technologies.
