Machine Learning Center of Excellence - Business Operations Analyst

The Machine Learning Center of Excellence (MLCOE) at JPMorgan Chase & Co. collaborates across the firm to create and implement high-impact machine learning solutions for our most complex business challenges. We work closely with data analytics, engineering, and product teams across all functions including sales and trading, digital, operations, finance, and risk.

About MLCOE

The MLCOE is a multidisciplinary team of experts exclusively focused on Machine Learning. We leverage cutting-edge techniques in areas such as Deep Learning and Reinforcement Learning applied to various domains like natural language processing, speech analytics, time series, graph analytics, and large language models. .

Role Overview

As an Analyst within the Business Operations team, you will be a key member of MLCOE, working closely with senior leaders, data scientists, engineers, product managers, and various support functions including Business Support Management, Human Resources, Real Estate, and Global Technology. Your role will involve supporting and leading day-to-day business operations including:

• Assisting senior leaders with business administration, recruitment, new joiner orientation, expense management, and marketing/event planning
• Responding to general team enquiries related to internal compliance, controls, or policies

Key Responsibilities

• Define and maintain the on/offboarding process for MLCOE employees
• Assist with onboarding and orientation for global team members
• Manage real estate needs including technology equipment and space planning
• Support the Chief of Staff with expense management, budgeting, and cost tracking
• Assist with internal and external event marketing and logistics
• Provide support related to internal compliance and policies
• Lead or partner on bespoke business operations projects as needed

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of experience in business management, preferably in AI/ML, technology, or financial services
• Self-motivated, tenacious, and capable of independent work
• Excellent communication, organizational, and project management skills
• Team player comfortable in a fast-paced environment
• Expert-level knowledge of MS Outlook and intermediate skills in MS Office tools such as Excel and PowerPoint
