Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience as a sales engineer or technical consultant in cloud computing, or in a customer-facing role.
  • Experience with virtualization or cloud-native architectures in customer-facing or support roles.
  • Experience with Big Data, machine learning, and numerical programming frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, Python, MATLAB).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
  • Experience building machine learning solutions and utilizing specific machine learning architectures (e.g., deep learning, LSTM, convolutional networks).
  • Experience designing and developing software or infrastructure for scalable, distributed systems.
  • Experience in data and information management related to Big Data trends and business issues.
  • Ability to learn, understand, and work with new emerging technologies, methodologies, and solutions in the cloud/IT space.

About the Role

As a Senior Customer Engineer, your role will involve supporting the Google Cloud Sales team by driving goals, mission, and strategy around Google Cloud AI/ML solutions. You will actively participate in customer meetings to support business transformation, success patterns, and establish a foundational architectural blueprint for migration to Google Cloud. Your responsibilities will include:

Responsibilities

  • Identifying and qualifying business opportunities, understanding technical objections, and formulating strategies to resolve technical blockers.
  • Providing machine learning knowledge to support technical relationships with Google’s customers, including product and solution briefings and proof-of-concept work.
  • Partnering with product management to prioritize solutions impacting customer adoption of Google Cloud.
  • Collaborating with customers to demonstrate and prototype Google Cloud product integrations in customer/partner environments.
  • Recommending integration strategies, enterprise architectures, platforms, and application infrastructure necessary to implement a comprehensive solution using best practices on Google Cloud.

Compensation

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $142,000-$214,000, plus bonus, equity, and benefits. Salary ranges vary by role, level, and location, and additional factors include job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
