Our primary offices are in Sweden (HQ), Canada, Greece, India, and Poland. The role The foundation of Etraveli Group's success lies in an impressive proprietary booking engine. Optimization within this engine is the key responsibility of the Sales department, and this optimization is largely automated using machine learning (ML) models. Our fast-paced business constantly requires the development of new and modification of existing ML applications. This development occurs through a close cooperation between business stakeholders and data scientists. To support this task, Etraveli Group is now hiring a Machine Learning and Data Expert to join the Sales department. The chosen candidate will be based in Stockholm and will interact with business stakeholders and data science teams. You will report to the BI department and will provide an overview of all ML initiatives with Sales stakeholders. Your explicit responsibilities will include explaining to stakeholders what ML can and cannot do, explaining business nuances to data scientists, ensuring that ML model logic reflects business problems, identifying potential novel use-cases, assisting stakeholders with technical evaluation of ML content, suggesting improvements of ML models from a mathematical perspective, identifying where existing models can be applied to new use-cases, and acting as the main stakeholder for specific strategic or data-related projects. Requirements To succeed in this role, you should have a master's degree in a quantitative subject such as engineering, physics, or math, a strong interest in business and some registered experience in ML and coding - potentially from a master thesis, a hobby project or professional experience. Interest in business is crucial. Learning the intricacies of our systems will require time and will be unachievable if you can't enjoy the process.
