Role Responsibilities

As a Machine Learning Engineer in 3D Simulation, you will:

• Research, implement, and optimize state-of-the-art machine learning techniques to elevate simulation variation and accuracy.
• Collaborate with ML Researchers, Technical Artists, and Simulation Engineers to incorporate new ML techniques into our production simulator.
• Construct scalable and usable cloud pipelines for 3D simulation machine learning solutions.
• Enhance rendering and tooling to generate realistic data at scale.

Qualifications

Ideal candidates will have the following qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in programming and algorithm design.
• Proficiency in C++ and Python.
• Hands-on experience with modern 3D vision techniques such as CNNs, Diffusion, and NeRF.
• Publications or production experience in human-centric 3D vision, reconstruction, or style transfer.
• Strong mathematical skills and a deep understanding of probabilistic techniques.

Bonus Qualifications

Additional bonuses include:

• A Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in computer science, mathematics, physics, or a related field.
• Noteworthy publications in top conferences like CVPR, ICCV, RSS, or ICRA.
• Experience with generative models for 3D content creation.
• Proficiency in automating 3D content pipelines using tools like Houdini, Maya, or Blender.
• Experience with distributed systems and cloud computing platforms.
• 3D rendering experience in simulation, gaming, or VFX.

Compensation and Benefits

Our compensation package includes three main components: salary, Amazon Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), and Zoox Stock Appreciation Rights. The annual salary ranges from $141,000 to $234,000, with the potential for a sign-on bonus. Compensation varies based on geographic location, and job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
