Role Overview: Machine Learning Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Create models that generate value for users, advertisers, and the company.
• Evaluate technical tradeoffs and partake in code reviews for top-tier code quality.
• Develop robust, scalable, and enduring products.
• Quickly iterate while maintaining high standards.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Strong understanding of machine learning approaches and algorithms.
• Effective self-prioritization and autonomous working skills.
• Ability to collaborate with internal and external partners.
• Skilled in resolving ambiguous problems.
• Excellent collaboration and mentorship abilities.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of industry experience in developing machine learning models for ranking, recommendations, search, content understanding, or image generation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Experience with machine learning frameworks like TensorFlow, Caffe2, PyTorch, Spark ML, or scikit-learn.
• Knowledge of machine learning, ranking infrastructures, and system design.

Compensation

Salaries at Snap Inc. are determined by job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. Our pay zones and ranges in the United States are as follows:

• Zone A (CA, WA, NYC): $202,000-$303,000 annually.
• Zone B: $192,000-$288,000 annually.
• Zone C: $172,000-$257,000 annually.

This position is eligible for equity in the form of RSUs.
