Bumble is on the lookout for a skilled Machine Learning Engineer specializing in Natural Language Processing (NLP) to be a vital part of our Trust & Safety team. If you possess a profound knowledge of NLP algorithms such as Transformers and LLMs, and have substantial experience in developing text-based ML systems, we want you!

What You'll Do

• Collaborate in a dynamic, cross-functional team including data scientists and machine learning engineers.
• Create and implement new solutions for text-based machine learning, using cutting-edge technologies like Transformers and LLMs.
• Design and conduct large-scale experiments to support hypotheses and drive product development.
• Work directly with our MLOps Core K8s platform to efficiently deliver models on a global scale.
• Take charge of deploying models, and oversee their continuous monitoring and improvement.
• Stay abreast of the latest research in machine learning and data science, with opportunities to prototype for the business and publish findings in top conferences.

We'd Love to Meet Someone With

• An advanced degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
• Proven experience in designing, developing, and training NLP models.
• Solid understanding of Kubernetes and software development life cycle processes, including ETL pipelines, CI/CD, and testing frameworks.
• Strong statistical modeling capabilities.
• A collaborative mindset, able to work well with both technical and non-technical team members.
• A passion for staying updated with the latest trends and developments in Data Science and Machine Learning.
• A naturally curious approach, constantly seeking to learn and grow professionally.

A Bonus If You Have

• Experience within the Trust & Safety field.
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructures, particularly GCP.
• Publications in major data science conferences like KDD, ECML, NeurIPS.
