About the Role

Be a part of our dedicated team based in Austin. At Apple, we build impactful software and hardware solutions that enhance the operations of our global retail fleet. Utilize your expertise in Machine Learning (ML) and Computer Vision (CV) to develop next-generation products that will revolutionize Apple Retail experiences.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, implement, and improve ML models and software for Apple Retail stores using the latest technologies and hyper-parameter optimization algorithms.
• Lead a team of analysts to build and maintain a monitoring pipeline for over 500 Apple store telemetry and analytics.
• Provide detailed analysis and insights to identify trends and drive improvements in core KPIs.
• Assist in onboarding new team members to ensure a smooth transition and quicker initial development phase.

Minimum Qualifications

• Background in computer science, engineering, data science, applied mathematics, or equivalent.
• Proficient in object-oriented programming languages such as Python, Swift, Objective-C, or Java.
• Hands-on experience with ML libraries like TensorFlow, PyTorch, CoreML, Sklearn, etc.
• Strong mathematical skills in linear algebra and statistics.
• Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a comparable degree.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience integrating research prototypes into production applications.
• Ability to thrive in a collaborative environment.
• Practical knowledge of building and adapting algorithms for ML, CV, or related fields.
