Role Summary

As a Machine Learning Engineer, you will be responsible for building and managing the services and infrastructure that power and serve our models and videos. You'll need to have in-depth knowledge of backend services, infrastructure as code, and model deployment. This is a full-time role based in either New York or San Francisco.

Required Experience

  • Accelerating and deploying latent diffusion models, diffusion transformers, or state space models using PyTorch and TensorRT.
  • Building and scaling cloud-based infrastructure in AWS and Oracle clouds with Kubernetes (EKS) and Terraform.
  • Developing and scaling pipelines, event streaming/processing in AWS using tools like SQS or Kafka.
  • Startup experience is essential—we work hard and fast.
  • Architecting and implementing REST APIs for distributed systems.
  • Experience with k8s, Docker in deploying machine learning models on NVIDIA hardware.
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in Python or Golang.

Meet the Founders

Michael Lingelbach (CEO): Prior to founding Hedra, Michael took a leave of absence from his PhD at Stanford, where he worked under Jiajun Wu and Fei-Fei Li. He has published in top computer science conferences and contributed to several open-source projects. A cinephile and former thespian, Michael is a big fan of Denis Villeneuve.

Alex Bergman (Chief Scientist): Alex recently received his PhD from Stanford, contributing significantly to neural rendering research. He has published in top-tier conferences and is passionate about creating user-friendly tools for creatives. Outside of work, Alex enjoys traveling, movies, and spending time outdoors.
