About the Role

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, Machine Learning, the Machine Learning Engineering Project Lead will engage with stakeholders to understand their challenges and identify potential machine learning solutions. This role supports telecommuting with manager approval.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the full lifecycle of machine learning projects, including requirement analysis, system design, deployment, and maintenance.
• Mentor Machine Learning Engineers (MLEs) and Data Scientists, enhancing team expertise through code reviews, design session reviews, and educational initiatives.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers and ML Platform Engineers to develop and optimize data pipelines for improved model performance.
• Contribute to the Machine Learning Program’s vision and strategy by drafting proposals, making architectural decisions, and promoting best practices.

What You'll Need

• A degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Machine Learning, or a related STEM field.
• At least 2 years of experience in developing machine learning solutions and working with financial services products.
• Proficiency in Python and ML libraries (scikit-learn, scipy, numpy, matplotlib, pandas).
• Strong background in SQL, Spark, and data systems.
• Experience in model architecture and ensuring the quality of machine learning applications in business environments.

Compensation for this role starts at a base salary range of $180,000 - $225,000. Equity participation is part of our total compensation for employees in the U.S.
