Noblis—a leading technical and programmatic services provider—is currently expanding its team supporting the U.S. Department of Transportation's Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) programs. Our work focuses on leveraging cutting-edge technologies, such as AI, connected and automated vehicles, and emerging mobility solutions to enhance travel safety, mobility, and environmental sustainability.

Responsibilities

As a Machine Learning/Computer Vision Specialist, you will:

  • Conduct novel research in ML/AI, computer vision, and autonomous systems.
  • Develop algorithms and perform data preparation, fusion, and analysis.
  • Support ITS JPO senior leadership with strategic, technical, and programmatic guidance.
  • Analyze new transportation systems tech, like connected, automated, and electric vehicles, focusing on safety, mobility, and environmental impacts.
  • Create white papers and presentations on ML/Computer Vision and V2X communications for enhancing road safety.
  • Develop briefing materials and talking points for senior transportation leaders.
  • Conduct technical reviews and facilitate client-led meetings in Washington, DC, and Reston, VA.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Software development experience in Python, C, C++, C#, Java.
  • 0-3 years of professional experience.
  • Expertise in AI, machine learning, computer vision, sensor fusion, and data analysis.
  • In-person work availability at Noblis and client offices in/around Washington, DC.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • US citizen or green card holder.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) and related technologies.
  • Background with robotics, including robot perception, SLAM, and autonomous navigation.
  • Familiarity with Linux, Robot Operating System (ROS), and CAD.

Full-time and part-time employees working at least 20 hours a week are eligible for these benefits. Our salary range of USD $61,600.00 - USD $107,800.00 /Yr reflects the broad scope of this position and includes all contributing factors.
