About the Role:

Our learned behavior team is on a quest to harness advanced machine learning techniques to spur software advancements. As a Machine Learning Research Scientist focused on behavior planning, your role involves pioneering machine learning methods to address real-world challenges. From enhancing self-supervised learning for robust representation to fine-tuning reinforcement learning for precise motion planning, your work will directly impact our groundbreaking autonomous vehicles, the NuroBots.

About the Work:

• Investigate and develop new machine learning models and problems.
• Advance goal-based and joint trajectory prediction and motion planning.
• Create consistent decision-making models using cutting-edge prediction and planning techniques.
• Explore generative modeling inspired by advancements in language processing.
• Develop strategies to mitigate uncertainties within the Autonomy stack.
• Construct efficient machine learning data pipelines to support the autonomy team's innovative solutions.
• Implement practical solutions that are scalable and deploy directly onto NuroBots.

About You:

Your background includes:

• Advanced degree (M.Sc. or Ph.D. preferred) in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Expertise in Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and ideally Robotics.
• Proven experience in areas like sequential decision-making, transformers, or uncertainty estimation.
• Strong coding skills in C++ or Python and a track record of research publications in prestigious conferences.

Compensation and Benefits:

At Nuro, we offer a competitive total compensation package including a base pay range of $138,225 to $207,575 depending on your experience and qualifications, plus annual performance bonuses, equity options, and a comprehensive benefits package.
