About Your Role

As part of the learned behavior team, your role centers on leveraging advanced machine learning techniques to fast-track our software development. You'll engage closely with software teams, identifying challenges and employing novel ML strategies for practical, real-world applications. This includes self-supervised learning, reinforcement learning for motion processes, trajectory prediction, and crafting robust model defenses against uncertainties. Ideally suited for problem solvers keen on practical, vehicle-deployable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Detect anomalies and manage out-of-distribution examples.
  • Investigate and fortify against adversarial inputs within autonomy modules.
  • Address uncertainties across the autonomy spectrum.
  • Engage in comprehensive trajectory prediction and motion planning.
  • Conduct ground-breaking research on new machine learning models and problems.
  • Collaborate closely with autonomy teams to pinpoint issues and establish effective solutions.

About You

Your background might include:

  • An M.Sc. or PhD in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Expertise in Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Statistics, Robotics, or Autonomous Driving.
  • Practical experience with ML robustness, adversarial training, and anomaly detection.
  • Proficient in programming with C++, Python, and a strong record of problem-solving.
  • A track record of published research in prominent conferences.

Compensation and Benefits

At Nuro, we strive to offer competitive compensation packages. For this role, the base salary range is $167,200 to $250,800, depending on experience and qualifications. This position also qualifies for performance bonuses, equity options, and a comprehensive benefits package.
