Opportunity Overview

Work Location: Hybrid mode, with onsite presence in either Santa Clara, CA, or San Diego, CA for three days per week.

Role Objectives:

The Machine Learning Team at d-Matrix leads the research & development efforts in our algorithm-hardware co-design for AI applications. As a Machine Learning Research Scientist, you will contribute to designing, implementing, and evaluating advanced deep learning techniques optimized for our AI compute engine.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop cutting-edge neural network architectures and algorithms.
  • Collaborate closely with both internal teams and external academic labs.
  • Guide hardware design through focused research activities.
  • Create and manage tools for simulation and research purposes.
  • Optimize real-world AI applications and assess their performance on our platforms.
  • Contribute to publishing research papers and creating intellectual properties.

What We Expect:

  • Master’s degree in CS, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or related fields, with 3+ years of industry experience, or a PhD with at least 1 year of industry experience.
  • Essential skills include expertise in PyTorch, algorithm analysis, data structures, and Python programming.
  • Desirable skills include C/C++ programming, GPU CUDA programming, and a thorough understanding of the latest trends in machine learning and deep learning technologies.
