Role Overview

As the Manager - Data Scientist for Equifax in Bangalore, you will be at the forefront of our expanding Analytics practice within the BFSI vertical. This senior position involves leading large teams to deliver top-notch analytical solutions in Retail Bank Marketing and Risk Analytics across India and the Middle East. Key responsibilities include Analytics Delivery, Presales support, and actively growing our Analytics capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Deep understanding of BFSI business drivers and risk KPIs for retail banking products.
• Leadership in project thought processes, developing unique solutions, and delivering analytical results.
• Hands-on development of models using ML techniques for BFSI clients.
• Continuous validation and monitoring of in-house models.
• Collaboration with the Equifax bureau in India on bureau-based analytics, implementing new technologies.
• Guidance and mentoring for junior consultants and analysts.

Required Experience

• A minimum of 5 to 7 years in BFSI analytics, model implementation, big data, or cloud solutions.
• Essential to have experience in credit risk modeling and possess SAS/R/Python coding skills.
• Experience in regulatory modeling (ECL, Stress testing & IFRS9) is beneficial.
• Applicant should be highly analytical, self-driven, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong business and credit risk comprehension and adaptability to varied banking projects.
