As a Manager Data Scientist within the Card Loss Forecasting and Allowance team, you will spearhead projects that integrate complex machine learning models to predict and manage credit card portfolio losses.

What You'll Do

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data scientists, software engineers, and product managers to develop high-impact financial products.
  • Utilize a wide range of technologies like Python, AWS, and Spark to derive actionable insights from large and complex datasets.
  • Lead the modernization of loss forecasting processes by enhancing the platforms that support financial planning and stress testing.
  • Navigate through the entire model development life cycle – from ideation to deployment – ensuring the models meet high standards of effectiveness and usability.

Basic Qualifications

  • Possession of a Bachelor's degree with 6+ years of experience in data analytics, or a Master's degree with 4+ years of experience, or a PhD with 1+ year of experience in data analytics.
  • At least 2 years of hands-on experience with open-source programming for large scale data analysis and machine learning.
  • Minimum of 2 years working with relational databases.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PhD in STEM fields with 3+ years of data analytics experience.
  • Advanced experience with Python, Scala, or R and SQL for large-scale data analysis.
  • Profound knowledge and hands-on experience in machine learning techniques.
  • Experience with AWS is highly advantageous.
