As the Manager of Machine Learning Infrastructure, you will spearhead and mentor a specialized team responsible for foundational ML technologies that propel the development and deployment of AI across Figma's platforms.

What You Will Do:

• Lead and expand a team of skilled engineers to develop scalable services powering Figma’s infrastructure.
• Architect robust systems to train, deploy, and serve models at scale, enhancing Figma's design and collaboration capabilities.
• Collaborate closely with ML/AI experts to create internal tools that streamline model development and testing.
• Promote best practices in code quality and infrastructure design across the engineering departments.
• Formulate strategic directions and establish clear priorities and missions for your team in alignment with Figma's goals.

Who We Are Looking For:

• You have over 3 years of experience in managing a team of at least 5 engineers and 6+ years in building scalable distributed systems.
• Proven background in managing advanced engineers and familiarity with machine learning infrastructure.
• A strategic thinker who has partnered with ML engineers to deliver systems that enhance their productivity.

Additional qualifications that will help you stand out:

• Experience with the entire ML workflow, particularly within generative AI and large language models.
