Job Description

We are looking for a talented Mechanical Design Engineer who will be instrumental in:

• Designing and modeling suite components for products to ensure they meet program requirements, while aligning with cost and weight specifications.
• Engaging in design reviews at each stage of the New Product Introduction (NPI) process.
• Selecting suitable materials and processes for design elements, ensuring their effective integration and validation through prototyping, testing, and DFMEA.
• Delivering design solutions on time and within budget constraints.
• Maintaining effective communication with customers, suppliers, and OEMs throughout the design process.
• Adhering to and enhancing Best Practice guidelines within the engineering team.
• Reviewing engineering packages from other designers and offshore teams.
• Preparing drawings and models for final approval.

Qualifications

For this role, the ideal candidate will possess:

• Proven experience and knowledge in Aircraft/Automotive seat design and surfaces.
• A solid track record in design engineering.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD, CATIA, and Smarteam.
• An understanding of manufacturing methods and design principles for manufacturing and assembly.
• Experience with BMS Documentation and Engineering changes (ECRs).
• Exceptional communication skills.

This position offers a long-term contract with a competitive salary that is experience-dependent. Both Inside and Outside IR35 statuses are considered.
