Position Summary

We're looking for a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer (Aircraft Seating) to enhance our team in Cwmbran, focusing on the Aerospace sector. This role is ideal for someone eager to contribute to developing cutting-edge aircraft seating solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed models of aircraft seating components, ensuring they meet specific program requirements.
• Utilize advanced CAD software to craft precise designs for optimal functionality and aesthetics of seating elements.
• Conduct comprehensive analyses to achieve the best balance among performance, cost, and weight.
• Address and resolve issues based on validation results, enhancing product reliability and safety.
• Ensure all components adhere to essential aerospace industry standards and regulations.
• Engage in robust product validation processes, including prototyping, testing, and Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA).

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will be passionate about mechanical engineering, goal-driven, and proactive.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• A degree in a relevant engineering discipline with demonstrable experience.
• Preferably with experience in cabin interiors, aircraft seats, and car infotainment systems.
• Proficiency in Catia or similar CAD software.
