Job Summary

As a key leader at Molina Healthcare, the Manager of Data Analytics and Operations will oversee the activities of a specialized team focused on data analytics within the healthcare sector. This role involves in-depth research and analysis of complex healthcare claims, pharmacy, and lab data to extract insights on network utilization and cost containment strategies. The successful candidate will also be responsible for the development of algorithms, tools, dashboards, and comprehensive reports to drive business performance enhancements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide effective management of data analytics for healthcare operations using tools such as Azure Databricks, Power BI, SSAS, SSIS/Azure Data Factory, and SQL Server.
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of data while delivering timely executive and health plan management reports.
  • Facilitate cross-departmental interaction with IT, Finance, Claims, Call Centers, and UM to enhance data management and utility.
  • Lead a team of Analysts and contractors, offering technical guidance and mentorship to advance departmental goals.

Job Qualifications

Required Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Math, Finance, Economics, Computer Science or a similar field.
  • At least 8 years of related experience, with a minimum of 2 years in supervisory or management roles, preferably in Managed Care or Medicare related fields.
  • Proficiency in SQL, programming, relational databases, and financial analysis.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A Graduate Degree or equivalent professional experience is highly favorable.

Skills & Abilities

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to foster interdepartmental relationships and manage a diverse team.
  • Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Proficient understanding of applicable state, federal, and third-party regulations.
