Role Overview

Brainly's AI Department is making significant strides in implementing an AI-Powered Predictive Intervention Platform designed to tailor educational recommendations to each student's current and future needs. As a key part of our AI strategy, the Answer Platform ML team is dedicated to providing high-quality, personalized answers to educational questions through innovative Machine Learning (ML) and Natural Language Processing (NLP) technologies.

You will join a highly technical team focused on:

  • Routing textual questions and educational content to appropriate services.
  • Increasing the coverage of answers available to users.
  • Contributing to answering services and components of our search platform.
  • Enhancing image classification and information extraction for improved retrieval precision.
  • Deploying, maintaining, and owning models in production.

What You'll Do

Your main responsibilities include:

  • Researching and implementing advanced text classification and generation techniques using LLMs.
  • Exploring and analyzing multidimensional and unstructured data to identify patterns.
  • Integrating models and algorithms with larger systems in collaboration with engineers.
  • Defining the team roadmap and deliverables.
  • Communicating results effectively to stakeholders and the broader company.
  • Collaborating with product teams to design new features and improve platform functionalities and user experience.
  • Ensuring statistical and scientific rigor within the team.

Required Qualifications

The ideal candidate meets the following requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience with Deep Learning models for NLP, text analytics, or Computer Vision in production.
  • Expertise in solving business problems using modern ML techniques.
  • Strong Python coding skills with a focus on maintainable code and unit tests.
  • In-depth understanding of modern ML foundations, particularly Deep Neural Networks.
  • Experience with Tensorflow or PyTorch, AWS Sagemaker, scikit-learn, Transformers (Huggingface ecosystem).
  • Proficiency with data analysis and visualization tools like pandas, plotly, matplotlib, or streamlit.
  • Fluency in English.

Preferred Qualifications

Additional preferred qualifications include:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics) or a similar field.
  • Experience with Parameter efficient fine-tuning of LLMs.
  • Experience with modern Cloud Computing, preferably AWS.
  • Hands-on experience with the deployment of ML models to production.
  • Background in both NLP and CV projects.
  • Familiarity with SQL, NoSQL, Docker, and full Model lifecycle deployment.
