Prime Finance Quantitative Research Associate

We are currently seeking a talented individual to fill the position of Prime Finance Quantitative Research Associate. Our team’s mission is to develop and maintain sophisticated mathematical models and cutting-edge methodologies, providing accurate valuations and risk management for financial transactions.

Job Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain sophisticated mathematical/statistical models to value and hedge financial transactions, ranging from vanilla flow products.
- Work on innovative model development as well as enhancements to existing models, alongside a strong technology team.
- Create mathematical/statistical models for Prime desks to enhance business revenue and profitability for stock borrow-loan, cash, and synthetic financing books.
- Devise systematic book management solutions to improve the stability of our collateral and its respective uses.
- Enhance the risk and pricing workflow of our Synthetics desk by developing innovative tools.
- Deliver quantitative analytics that drive decision-making processes.
- Maintain adequate control functionality.

Requirements and Skills

Required Qualifications

- Degree in engineering, financial engineering, computer science, mathematics, sciences, statistics, econometrics, or other quantitative fields.
- Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in calculus, linear algebra, probability, and statistics.
- Proficiency in at least one object-oriented programming language such as C++ or Java; strong skills in Python.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strategic and creative thinking towards problem-solving and opportunities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective partnership and stakeholder engagement.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in markets and general familiarity with trading concepts and terminology.
- Knowledge of various financial products and asset classes such as Fixed Income, Credit, Commodities, and Equities.
- Understanding of Delta 1 and Equity Derivatives products.
- Background in computer algorithms, Python, or related work experience.
- Knowledge in options pricing theory, trading algorithms, financial regulations, stochastic calculus, machine learning, or high-performance computing.
