Role Overview: Principal Architect

As a Principal Architect, your main responsibility will be to ensure customer success for 3Cloud. Focused on customer data strategy and advisory delivery, you'll collaborate with team members to deliver data strategy engagements encompassing people, process, technology, and data. Your goal: build a strategic roadmap to enable client digital transformation, supported by a strong data management foundation. You will need entrepreneurial spirit, enterprising mindset, and a personable nature, with strong leadership qualities to scale within the Data Practice over time.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and showcase emerging technologies and concepts to teams.
• Deliver a broad range of data engagements.
• Oversee project delivery teams to ensure quality and client satisfaction.
• Lead effective requirements gathering and design thinking workshops.
• Design modern data platform architecture based on requirements.
• Mentor and guide team members in client engagements.
• Conduct detailed assessments, analyses, and interviews to solve client problems.
• Develop comprehensive data strategies and formulate strategic recommendations.
• Create strategy, assessments, vision, roadmaps, and business case deliverables.
• Build strong client relationships at all levels.
• Demonstrate thought leadership and recommend improvements based on client experience.
• Monitor technology trends, especially in data management, to influence 3Cloud offerings.
• Leverage advanced database systems with Azure technologies.
• Design and develop high-performing, reliable, and scalable solutions.
• Communicate technical details to business and management personnel.
• Author and gain approval of design documents for projects.
• Work independently or lead a team to design and develop solutions.
• Provide meaningful feedback and coaching to overcome technological challenges.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in database design and architecture, with at least 2 years using Azure technologies.
• Previous consulting experience is highly desired.
• Extensive knowledge in Data Management, Business Intelligence, and Analytics concepts.
• Expert knowledge in Microsoft Azure technologies.
• 10+ years of data and analytics experience.
• Experience running workshops with business stakeholders using methodologies such as Design Thinking.
• Experience with 2 or more Data Management areas.
• Strong presentation, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Product management knowledge and excellent communication skills.
• Passion for learning new technologies.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with Analytics and Data Science tools such as R, Python, Azure ML Studio/Services.
• Custom visualizations in Microsoft Power BI using D3 and jQuery.
• Understanding of Azure Infrastructure architecture and design.
• Experience with Azure DevOps for source control and project management.
