The estimated base salary for this remote role ranges from $94,000 to $198,000, subject to variations based on location, qualifications, and experience.

Key Responsibilities:

As the Principal Data Architect, you will:

• Lead the design and implementation of our new enterprise data platform.
• Collaborate with various teams to integrate modern cloud and security architectures.
• Develop and maintain data platform SDKs and libraries.
• Design data connector frameworks to integrate diverse on-prem and cloud-based systems.
• Enhance data storage, processing, and querying capabilities to efficiently handle large datasets.
• Implement robust security measures and data quality frameworks.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and introduce cutting-edge data engineering practices into the platform.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Over 15 years of experience in data engineering with a proven track record in enterprise-scale data platform projects.
• Expertise in GCP, BigQuery, SQL, Python, Spark, and real-time data processing technologies like Kafka.
• Strong competency in Docker, Kubernetes, and IoT architectures.
• Deep understanding of data modeling, architecture, and governance.

Desirable Qualifications:

• Experience with Data Mesh architecture.
• Familiarity with building semantic layers for data platforms.
• Proven ability to manage large-scale IoT architectures.
