Job Description

The MLA Design Verification (DV) team at SiMa.ai is seeking a dynamic Principal Engineer for the functional verification of Machine Learning Accelerator (MLA) and computer vision pipelines at block, sub-system, and SoC levels. You will also play a crucial role in bring-up and debugging on emulators.

Responsibilities

• Participate in MLA architecture, micro-architecture, and feature discussions and reviews.
• Define and develop MLA and DMA test bench components using UVM & SystemVerilog.
• Develop and execute a detailed test plan.
• Lead code coverage reviews and ensure closure. Develop and close SystemVerilog Assertion functional coverage.
• Manage debug tests and regression failures, including emulation failures.
• Collaborate closely with Architecture, MLSoC Hardware, and MLA Software teams.

Requirements

• BS/MS in EE (Electrical Engineering) or CS (Computer Science) with 12+ years of experience in the functional verification of pipeline-based design, preferably MLAs, DSPs, CPUs, or GPUs.
• Proven experience with UVM and SystemVerilog verification methodologies.
• Proficiency in developing UVM and SystemVerilog Test Bench components (BFMs, ScoreBoards, SVA, etc.) from scratch.
• Experience in silicon debug on lab/board setups is a plus.
• Strong debug, coding, and problem-solving skills.

The annual salary for this position ranges from $220,000 - $285,000. The actual annual salary paid for this position will be based on several factors, including but not limited to, skills, prior experience, qualifications, expertise, work location, total target compensation, training, company needs, and current market demands. The annual salary range for this position is subject to change and may be adjusted in the future.
