Job Summary

We are seeking a Data Scientist to collaborate with our Process Development and Assay Development scientists, Process Engineers, Quality Control Analysts, and other cross-functional teams. Your role involves understanding and analyzing data from Manufacturing and Quality Control processes, and using statistical methodologies such as regression analysis, cluster analysis, CHAID, and factor analysis. You will ensure the accuracy, timeliness, and statistical validity of all analyses and presentations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Working with large and complex data sets to solve challenging problems using various analytical and statistical approaches.
  • Providing statistical and data interpretation support to the MS&T function, overseeing the data strategy and infrastructure for CRL’s CDMO CGT program.
  • Assisting in the implementation of data harvesting, cleansing, and analysis.
  • Acting as the subject matter expert for all statistical and data analytic needs within the MS&T function.
  • Designing and implementing effective data harvesting, cleansing, and analysis strategies in partnership with IT.
  • Ensuring the MS&T function is trained in necessary statistical and data analytical techniques.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in statistics, economics, mathematics, life sciences, engineering, or relevant field.
  • Advanced degree (Masters, PhD) preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years in the pharmaceutical industry in a technical or process statistical role.
  • Mastery of various statistical methodologies such as regression analysis, cluster analysis, CHAID, factor analysis, and principal component analysis.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Proficiency in scientific creativity, collaboration, independent thought, and experimental design to support process development.
  • Ability to identify and implement data analytical solutions for investigation, routine trending, and Continued Process Verification.
