The Data Architecture Team

The Data Architecture team is dedicated to designing, implementing, and maintaining the structure of our organization's data assets. We define data standards, models, and frameworks to ensure data is organized, stored, and accessed efficiently and securely. Our team collaborates with stakeholders to understand data needs and support the organization's data-driven decision-making and strategic objectives.

Role Overview

As a Product Data Architect, you will:

  • Lead the data design of solutions for large projects and programs.
  • Translate high-level business requirements into data models and appropriate metadata, test data, and data quality standards.
  • Communicate, improve, and implement key principles, methods, and models that describe the enterprise's future state in relation to data.
  • Advise and participate in the specification, selection, design, implementation, and operation of information security controls.
  • Contribute to the enterprise data framework and maintain expertise in industry innovation in data architecture.
  • Lead contributions to relevant communities of practice, providing thought leadership and mentoring other employees.

Required Skills and Experience

As a signatory to the Government’s Disability Confident scheme, we offer interviews to disabled candidates meeting the minimum criteria. The essential criteria include:

  • Experience in conceptual, logical, and physical data modeling in complex environments
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience with various data modeling techniques (3NF, star, snowflake, DV2, etc.)
  • Experience with business analysis or requirement elicitation
  • Understanding of relational/non-relational databases, data warehouses, and big data/data lakes
  • Familiarity with creating data dictionaries and taxonomies
  • Experience in the finance regulation domain is a plus
