Job Opportunity: Product Data Scientist, Google One
Google is seeking a highly skilled Product Data Scientist to join our Google One team. If you're passionate about data, have a knack for uncovering insights, and love solving complex business problems, this could be the perfect role for you.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Economics, Operations Research, Engineering, or a related quantitative field. Equivalent practical experience will also be considered.
- 10 years of experience in analysis applications such as extracting insights, performing statistical analysis, and solving business problems, as well as coding with Python, R, and SQL.
- Proficiency in articulating product questions, pulling data from datasets (e.g., SQL), and applying statistical methods.
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in effectively partnering on cross-functional projects or teams, working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong ability to perform analysis with limited direction, such as identifying drivers of underperformance in a product or segment.
- Excellent project management and planning skills, capable of juggling multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Superior problem-solving and analytical skills, with sound business judgment to identify and solve ambiguous and complex business problems.

Responsibilities
- Partner with Product Management and Engineering to build robust analytics and experimentation infrastructures that deliver scalable insights and inform decision-making for Google One and its cross-product area partners.
- Work closely with the Machine Learning (ML) team, including Product Management and Engineering, to provide insights that accelerate our ML-driven targeting and growth capabilities.
- Identify vague and complex business problems and develop analytical solutions to enhance our product and user experience, spanning various Google One product areas.
