Job Description Summary: PayPal, Inc. is looking for a Product Data Scientist in San Jose, CA. Job Duties: Conduct in-depth analyses on key business trends from various perspectives and package the insights into easily understandable presentations. Make data visually appealing and simple to navigate and comprehend for end-users. Identify key metrics and drive the creation of exec-facing dashboards to track the progress of the business and its highest-priority initiatives. Identify key business levers, establish cause and effect, and communicate key findings to various stakeholders to support data-driven decision-making. Engage in problem-solving with Product, Finance, Marketing, and various other teams to identify performance trends and root causes. Support new product launches by developing test and control plans and tracking product performance. Independently process large datasets and synthesize inputs from multiple sources, using visualization tools such as Tableau and Periscope and machine learning models. Telecommuting is permitted – work can be performed from anywhere in the US. Job Description: Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or a closely related field plus four years of experience in the job offered, as a Product Data Scientist, or a related role. Employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or a closely related field plus five years of experience in the job offered, as a Product Data Scientist, or a related occupation. Special Skill Requirements: 1. At least 4 years of working experience in SQL 2. At least 4 years of working experience in Python 3. At least 2 years of working experience with experimental design and analysis 4. At least 4 years of working experience in the data analytics area 5. At least 2 years of working experience with product data science 6. At least 4 years of working experience in data visualization using tools such as Tableau, Looker, etc. 7. Statistical modelling and methodologies (including experimentation) 8. At least 4 years of working experience with cloud-based distributed databases EOE, including disability/vets. Additional Job Description: Base Salary: $140,000-204,600 per annum. 40 hours per week; M-F, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. PayPal is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices.
