Product Designer II - Data Visualization

We are seeking a Product Designer skilled in designing tools for creating intricate diagrams. As a designer on the Dataviz Design Team, you will translate business requirements and user insights into designs that help users understand their cloud infrastructure. You will collaborate with other designers and engineers within the product design team to build a highly interactive architecture diagramming product. What You'll Do: - Collaborate with product managers and engineers to understand how our customers use Cloudcraft and what they need to succeed - Turn insights from user research into ideas, create sketches and prototypes to bring them to life, and release products and features to improve Datadog and Cloudcraft - Become an expert in your product area - Clearly articulate your design work and the rationale behind your design decisions to the wider company - Work closely with engineering teams to understand how your designs will be implemented Who You Are: - You have 3+ years of experience in digital product design - Your portfolio showcases a strong track record of designing interactive web applications for user-generated diagrams - You are an excellent visual and written communicator, capable of clearly explaining your design work and the rationale behind your design decisions - You have experience with advanced prototyping tools (such as Figma, Protopie, Principle, Framer) or creating code-based prototypes with JavaScript and React - You understand system thinking and component-based design patterns - You are adept at giving and receiving feedback, contributing to and improving the work of your colleagues as well as your own We value diversity at Datadog and understand that not everyone will meet all of the above criteria from day one. The estimated salary for this role at Datadog ranges from $132,000 to $170,000, alongside a competitive equity package, and may include variable compensation. Actual compensation will depend on factors such as the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience.
