About the Role: Data Scientist, Property & Casualty Insurance

Job Description:

As part of the Analytical Data Operations (ADO) division, you will play a crucial role in refining data that fuels ISO’s analytics engines, focusing on the U.S. P&C insurance sector. Your expertise in data analysis will support our mission of delivering superior analytic solutions across a range of products relied upon by the industry.

In this role, you will:

• Act as a subject matter expert on all data-related issues for your line of business.
• Collaborate with team leads and stakeholders to address business needs, analyze trends, and enhance product portfolio understanding.
• Engage with our international teams to develop tools that improve industry insight generation.
• Utilize SQL and advanced analytics on our cloud data warehouse to propel front-line data analytics.
• Drive tangible changes by managing data relationships and delivering impactful business intelligence.

Your work will directly influence high-level decision-making and foster organizational advancements within and beyond Verisk.

What You Bring:

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field (including Actuarial Science, Data Science, and Economics).
• At least two years of experience in data analysis within the P&C insurance sector, specifically in Commercial Lines coverages.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL and Excel/BI for robust data manipulation and analysis.
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
