The Nanyang Technological University (NTU) invites enthusiastic and skilled individuals to apply for the position of Research Assistant at the Joint NTU-UBC Research Centre of Excellence in Active Living for the Elderly (LILY).

Key Responsibilities

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Training and optimizing large language models.
• Implementing reinforcement learning algorithms to enhance language model alignment.
• Developing systems for efficient and systematic experimental data collection.
• Assisting in comprehensive data analysis and creating detailed visualizations for academic publications.
• Writing research papers/reports based on project requirements.

Job Requirements

We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications:

• BEng/BSc/MEng/MSc in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Data Science, Information Science, Mathematics, or related disciplines.
• Experience and knowledge in deep learning, reinforcement learning, and user interface development.
• Proficiency with GNU/Linux, Python, and at least one of the main machine learning libraries (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, Keras).
• Experience in mathematical modeling competitions, ACM programming contests, and paper publication is preferred.
• Strong background in mathematics and excellent writing and communication skills.
